If we are clear about what we want to get with an LED system, after knowing how it works, the characteristics to take into account about LEDs and having assessed the advantages and disadvantages, we will need to know what LED system and how many Watts we need for our growing area. In our online grow shop we tell you everything in detail!
LED systems, like sodium, are classified by Watts, but they have nothing to do with each other. This will help us to see the consumption of each system, but not the light power.
To cover a 100 x 100 grow tent or a surface of one square metre (1m2), we need at least one 200W LED panel, and depending on the manufacturer's recommendations, we can use LED systems or groups of LED systems up to 360W. Systems such as Cosmos 200W, Titan 270W, ATS 300W Pro, Galaxy Pro 340W, Solux LED Vega 360W...
All LED grow systems under 200W will be suitable for areas smaller than 1m2.
If we have a grow tent or a 60 x 60 cm area, where we can put up to 3 plants, a 60W LED panel, such as the Superstar 60W LED system by Solux, would be ideal.
Or we could use up to 100W LED panels such as the LED Kappa 100W, bearing in mind that the smaller the growing space and the more watts we have, we will have to optimise ventilation and keep an eye on temperature and humidity.
For a cultivation area or a grow tent of 80 x 80, you will need LED systems from 100W to 200W depending on the manufacturer. Any LED system between these watts will be enough to fully grow up to 4 plants. In Calle25 you can find some of them such as: LED Cosmos 100W, LED Titan 120W, LED Kappa 150W, Lumatek ATS 200W.
As we have discussed in the 100 x 100 growing area, we can use LED panels up to 360W, so anything above that wattage can be used in 120 x 120 areas. All LED systems ranging from 360W to 600W are valid for cannabis cultivation, such as: Lumatek Zeus 465W PRO Compact, Titan 480W, Solux Vega 480W, Aura 480W, Lumatek Zeus PRO 2.9 600W among others.
If you are growing in large rooms or grow areas equal to or larger than 150 x 150, the way to maximise savings is to use 600W LED systems or higher, such as the Galaxy PRO 630W, Aura 640W, Cosmos 650W, Titan 700W, Vega 9 Plus 720W PRO, Zeus PRO 2.9 1000W, Zeus 1000W Xtreme Co2.
Below you will see the comparison table between the optimal wattage and the surface area for the crop.
Now that we know how many Watts we need for our indoor LED grow, all we have to do is choose which LED system we want to buy. Good growing!
